Ticket Defaults
The Ticket Defaults are, as the name implies, default settings that apply to tickets globally unless explicitly stated otherwise.
It is generally good practice to take a few minutes to consider these settings, as they are a vital part in how Tickets function and can prevent additional work and headache in the future.
- Password Length defines the length of the passwords that are automatically generated for each ticket that is created.
- Expiration Period defines the maximum length of time that any given ticket can remain valid regardless of the amount it has been used.
- Max Idle Time is the maximum length of time that a client can remain idle without getting logged off automatically.
- Idle Timeout settings are important for the automatic re-login process!
- When a device is logged off via the Idle Timeout it receives a “Remember Me” Token.
- Without this “Remember Me” Token the automatic re-login will not occur.
- Recommended settings are anywhere between 30 - 120 Minutes
- Max Download / Upload Bandwidth defines the global maximum bandwidth available for tickets.
