Epson TM-T20
The same configuration as for the Epson TM-T20 will also apply to the models Epson TM88III, TM88IV and TM88V.
A ticket printer can only connect to one IACBOX at a time.
- Lite Version of the IACBOX supports 2 Ticket Printers
- Pro Version allows for 10 Ticket Printers
- Full Version supports up to 100 Ticket Printers.
Configuration
Epson ticket printers usually get shipped with the internal IP address 192.168.192.168. Configure a device (e.g. notebook) to be in the same address range and connect the ticket printer to a notebook by using an ethernet cable. Don’t forget to turn on the ticket printer. Open the ticket printer address, in a web browser, and access it’s basic configuration over it. This menu will also allow additional settings like a password protection.
The network configuration of the ticket printer can always be accessed by a printout of it’s basic configuration. To do so, turn off the ticket printer. Now hold the Feed Button and while doing so, turn on the printer. After about 4 seconds, the device will print out it’s current configuration.
After determining or adjusting the network settings, the ticketprinter can be added in the IACBOX WebAdmin menu Printing/Ticket printer.
Epson TM-T20 IV necessary configuration
When using Epson TM-T20 IV then the following additional settings must be performed in it’s web administration:
- Plug in the printer into a network with DHCP
- Wait until the device obtains an IP address, it will print it out automatically
- From within the same network, access the device’s web administration via it’s IP address (e.g. https://192.168.1.111)
- Now navigate into Advanced Settings and immediately log in via Administrator Login in the right upper corner (the administrator password can be found on the bottom of the device)
- In the tab Print, find the Secure Printing setting and disable it. Confirm by clicking OK, the device will then restart automatically.
This will be sufficient to make the printer work, however, it is suggested to also disable the following functionalities:
- In the Advanced Settings, navigate to Network Security and disable Bonjour, SLP, LLTD, LLMNR and SNMPv1
- Proceed by saving these changes
Printer Paper
The Epson TM-T20 ticket printer supports two different paper sizes. Thermal paper with 80mm width and thermal paper with 57.5mm / 58mm width. To use the paper with a width of 57.5mm / 58mm, a so-called “spacer” is included with the printer. The spacer is simply inserted into the paper tray to reduce the 80mm range to a 57.5mm / 58mm range. Afterwards the printer must be configured for the use of the smaller paper width as well. Because by default, the ticket printer is configured for 80mm paper.
Configuration of the Paper Width
The configuration is done directly on the ticket printer by using the Feed Button. The current menu navigation will be printed in realtime.
Feed button configurations
Hold the Feed Button and turn on the printer. The current configuration will be printed.
Hold down the Feed Button for 1 second or longer. Enter the mode selection menu.
To get into the configuration menu, press the Feed Button 3 times, then hold down the Feed Button for 1 second or longer.
The Paper Width menu can be found by pressing the Feed Button 6 more times afterwards, keep it pressed for 1 second or longer.
Eventually select the favored paper width.
After the paper width has been configured on the ticket printer, it has to be configured on the IACBOX. Therefore navigate to
