Device Monitoring
Device Monitoring is a powerful tool to keep track several components of both the IACBOX as well as other critical network peers.
- Add local checks will add the IACBOX itself to the list of monitored devices with default checks for harddrives.
- New Device will open up a pop-up window where the host IP / FQDN along with a description can be entered.
When the Device has been added it will appear in the list of monitored devices. To add checks to this device, click on the “edit” icon in the “Action” column of the table.
The Status will display whether or not the last check has been successful.
Test Type is a drop down menu that offers an array of useful checks for network devices.
Test Query allows for tuning the command arguments.
The "?" icon in the “Action” column of a test case offers a short form manual page for the specific command.
