Payment provider: VR-Payment

Prerequisites

First a VR-Payment E-Commerce account needs to be requested.

VR-Payment configuration

The following steps are required to set up VR-Payment under https://gateway.vr-payment.de

1) Define a Role

Under Account -> Users -> Roles you can create a new Role or modify a current one.

The role needs the permissions for the whole sub-group Account Admin -> Space -> Payment -> Payment Processing -> Transaction

2) Add an application user

Add a new application user under Account -> Users -> Application Users which is later used to authenticate with VR-Payment.

On the top right corner, click Create application user and enter the name of the new user

When the user is created, a dialog shows a User ID and an Authentication Key for that user.

Copy the Authentication Key right now as you will not be able to see it again later.

Both, the User ID and the Authentication Key are required in the IACBOX configuration in WebAdmin.

Next you can add Roles to the newly created user. Under Space Roles click the + button to add a new Role

Select the Role created in the first step (with the permissions for Transaction)

Click Save and you see the overview of the new User with the required Role added

3) Find out the Space ID

Under Account -> Spaces all defined spaces are listed. To get the required Space ID for a space click on the Space entry for more details

Below the name of the space the required Id number for configuration is displayed

4) Payment page customization

To customize the payment page navigate to Space in the main menu and click on Settings in the bottom left of the page

Then click on the Customization tab

Supported payment methods

The VR-Payment integration supports only payment methods, where a payment results immediately in the state Fullfilled like:

  • Credit Cards
  • WERO
  • Google Pay and Apple Pay (confirmation pending)

Payment Methods which result in state Completed (with a postponed validation) are not supported (like Direct Debit, …)

WebAdmin settings

1) Activate VR Payment

Now access Webadmin and navigate to Login Methods -> Online Payment and select the tab VR Payment. Add the three required IDs previously obtained from the VR Payment web interface.

It’s recommended to enable either email or SMS notifications for VR Payment because the user has payed for the ticket and needs to receive the credentials to login again.

2) Configure ticket templates

Navigate to Users/Tickets -> Templates. Add new templates, or edit existing ones that should have a price and can be bought.

3) Login Page Editor

Navigate to Login Page -> Login Page Editor and edit the login page in use. Click on the login box and activate Online Payment on the right.
