We do recommend to operate an IACBOX attached to a UPS to avoid data loss.

Automated shutdown #

Many UPS appliances allow to call API hooks to shutdown servers in case of a power loss. This can be helpful if the power outage is taking too long and the UPS can’t deliver enough power for all plugged devices anymore.

IACBOX provides a Batch-API call to remotely shutdown the system. Check out the Batch-API manual
