Message after login
The Message after login feature makes it possible to send a custom message (e-mail) to a device after successful log on.
As with everything else, this feature can be fine tuned in terms of who receives what message.
Besides sending additional information to guests, this can also be a valid way of redirecting them after login as certain Android versions do not properly allow for captive-portal browser redirects and have no venue-url function.
This feature can complement the usage of QR-codes to communicate links as many people (and devices) are not able to handle QR-codes.
Example use cases
- Hotel: The hotel guest receives links to a guest portal and in-stay feedback platform.
- Hospital: The patient receives links to the HIS portal. The outpatient receives links to an online magazine platform.
- Ship: The guest receives Links to the on-board infotainment system.

How it works
The login page shows an additional section with a description and an email field for every login method. If the login method already requires an email address, a checkbox will be displayed instead of an email field.
The guest enters an email address and after the successful login the system sends an email to the provided email address with the specified text.
Configuration
Adding new messages
New messages will be added in the Messages tab.
Global Settings
Modes:
- Assign messages to Ticket Templates: Allows to send different messages depending on the ticket template the guest logs in with
- Assign messages to VLANs/Routes: Allows to send different messages depending on VLAN/Route from which the guest logs in
Other settings
- Text shown on login page: Description displayed on login page above email address input
- Email Input label: Label used for email address input field on login page
- Checkbox label: Label used for checkbox on login page. Checkbox will be used instead of input, if login method already has an input for email address
- Collect email adresses: Check if email addresses entered should be collected by data collector
Messages per ticket template
Ticket Template settings can include the message that will be sent on a per-template basis. If No Message is set for a ticket template a guest will not receive an email after login. If no ticket template is set, the Default message will be used instead.
Location based Message after login
If VLANs or Routes are enabled, the Ticket Template section will feature a new section that allows for VLAN/Route settings.
Based on the VLAN/Route the guest reaches the loginpage, the messages configured in this section will be used. If No message is set for a VLAN or a Route the Message after login feature will be disabled for this VLAN/Route.
Label per VLAN/Route
In addition to Assign messages to VLANs/Routes mode it is possible to provide different labels and descriptions for each message, which will be displayed on the loginpage.
