Free Login

The Free Login essentially is a simple and quick way to offer internet access for guests without the requirement of any pre-generated credentials. Free Login tickets are created on a per-device base and do not require any credentials (self-registration). This login method can also be combined with the Data Collector, a form with optional or required input fields.

Configuration

The Free Login configuration can be found and activated in the WebAdmin menu Login Methods/Free Login.

Upon activation…

Data Collector

The Free Login can be used together with the Data Collector. At first a Data Collector Profile needs to be created in the WebAdmin menu Login page/Data Collector,

After saving the new Data Collector Profile, it still has to be activated for the Free Login in the Login page theme. At Login page/Login page editor the section Active login pages shows the current active theme.

After clicking on the green Show/Edit Button for the currently active Login page, the Login page editor opens.

By clicking on the section Login box 1 on the left bottom part of the Login page editor, the Free Login and all other modules will be visible. If for some reason the Free Login does not show up on the login page after activation, then it has to be activated in the selection on the right side - also any alteration has to be saved via the Save Button.

The Data Collector profile can be assigned unter the Tab Page in the section Extensions by enabling Data Collector Inline.

To update the Data Collector Inline view, please Refresh the page after the last step.

Afterwards the new section DataCollectorInline becomes visible.

Here the previously created Data Collector profiles can be assigned to login methods individually. Any changes must be saved via the Save button.

Use with PMS System

If a PMS System is configured on the IACBOX, then it is also possible to enable the Free Login to be shown in the PMS ticket selection. In order to do so, activate the function PMS Authentication required in the Free Login configuration. The Free Login will now be listed after guests authenticated with their PMS data.
